Goodman Theatre to Go Down a Rabbit Hole in Coming Season

Chicago's Goodman Theatre has come up with a new carrot for subscribers to its 2006-07 season. Rabbit Hole, the Tony Award-nominated play by David Lindsay-Abaire, has been added to the coming line-up.

The production is the second regional outing announced for the drama, which had its debut on Broadway at the Biltmore Theatre. Cleveland Play House previously announced it will open its new season with the play.

The tale of a couple grappling with the death of their young son won 2006 Tony nominations for Best Play, Best Direction of a Play (Dan Sullivan), Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Play (Cynthia Nixon), Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Play (Tyne Daly) and Best Scenic Design of a Play (John Lee Beatty).

Goodman associate producer Steve Scott will direct the run in the Goodman’s Albert Theatre. Dates are March 10 through April 15, 2007.

The 2006-07 line-up now looks like this:

Mirror of the Invisible World, adapted and Directed by Mary Zimmerman, June 16 – July 22, 2007
