Gets, Kudisch, Anderson, Irving Star in First Reading of New "Shaw Project"

| photo by Aubrey Reuben | Malcolm Gets, Marc Kudisch, Cynthia Harris, Nancy Anderson and George S. Irving will star in a Jan. 23 reading of George Bernard Shaw's Arms and the Man. The event, to take place at The Players Club in Gramercy Park, is the first of many planned for an ambitious venture called "The Shaw Project."
The series is being produced and directed by David Staller, who is currently acting with Dana Ivey in Shaw's Mrs. Warren's Profession at the Irish Repertory Theatre. Dates stretching throughout 2006 and beyond will provide airing of every sketch, full-length and one-act play by the playwright.
Other actors who are expected to take part in future readings include Veanne Cox, Raul Esparza, Michael Cerveris, Olympia Dukakis, Ed Dixon and Simon Jones.
All readings are on Monday at 7 PM, except where otherwise indicated. A current schedule, subject to change, runs as follows:

May 8 at noon: Two one-acts, Overruled and Augustus Does His Bit

Nov. 20: Captain Brassbound's Conversion
Dec. 18: The Philanderer
