By Ernio Hernandez

Charlie Pollock

Charlie Pollock joins the cast of Off-Broadway's long-running I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change Jan. 3 at the Westside Theatre.

The actor replaces Jamie Laverdiere in the current cast which features Anne Bobby, Will Erat and Jodie Langel. James Hammerstein Productions, Bernie Kukoff and Jonathan Pollard produce the work directed by Joel Bishoff.

Pollock originated the role of Bobby Strong in the Urinetown national tour after replacing Hunter Foster in the role on Broadway. His Off-Broadway credits include Jonathan Larson's tick, tick…BOOM!, The Last Starfighter, Monica! The Musical, Loot, Lola, Opus Profundum and Cock and Bull Story. The stage star is also currently writing and recording his first solo album.

I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change features music by Jimmy Roberts with a book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro. The musical comedy that delves into the world of dating, love and marriage is also the longest-running musical revue in New York history, having broken the record set by Smokey Joe's Cafe.

The show's creators presented their second Off-Broadway offering, The Thing About Men, in the summer of 2003 at Off-Broadway's Promenade Theatre with Marc Kudisch, Ron Bohmer, Leah Hocking, Daniel Reichard and original I Love You... star Jennifer Simard in the cast. DiPietro is also the bookwriter for the Broadway musical All Shook Up, featuring the music of Elvis Presley, which plays at the Palace Theatre, where it began Feb. 20 and opened March 24, 2005.

I Love You, You're Perfect has enjoyed success throughout the world, having opened in over 250 different cities including Los Angeles, Boston, San Francisco, Toronto, Chicago, London, Tel Aviv, Mexico City, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Budapest, Sydney, Prague, Seoul, Milan, Rio de Janeiro and Johannesburg,

Tickets to I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change at The Westside Theatre, 407 West 43 Street (between Ninth and Tenth Ave.) can be purchased by calling (212) 239-6200. For more information, visit www.loveperfectchange.com.
